A woman who left her 11-week-old twins in her locked Cadillac Escalade for 40 minutes  while she shopped at the Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton will have to pay a $1,000 fine, take 26 weeks of parenting classes, attend 52 counseling sessions and allow random police checks of her home.

But Danville resident Amanda Nejat, who pleaded no contest in Alameda County Superior Court to misdemeanor child endangerment, may have suffered the hardest blow of all when the judge banned her from shopping at the mall’s Nordstrom store. If the 46-year-old woman follows the terms of her plea agreement for two years, her criminal record will be erased.

It was not clear if her shopping privileges would then be restored. But it may be a moot point. Nordstrom lists 19 stores near Pleasanton. And the Stoneridge Shopping Center has a Macy’s.
